§2175.5. Rules; regulations; licensing standards
The licensing agency shall promulgate and publish rules, regulations, and licensing standards to provide for the health, safety, and welfare of women in outpatient abortion facilities and for the safe operation of such facilities. The rules, regulations, and licensing standards shall become effective upon approval of the secretary of the Louisiana Department of Health in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act. The initial rules, regulations, and licensing standards shall not become effective until approved by the House Committee on Health and Welfare and the Senate Committee on Health and Welfare.
No outpatient abortion facility shall be required to obtain a license under this Part until the initial rules, regulations, and licensing standards are adopted and promulgated in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act.
