NURSING HOMES
§1119.1. Tuberculosis testing for admission to nursing homes
Any person applying for admission to a nursing home, as defined in R.S. 40:2009.2(1), shall be screened, according to guidelines established by the Louisiana Department of Health, for tuberculosis prior to admission. If the results of the screening are positive, the person shall consult with his treating physician and the nursing home administrator of the nursing home that he is applying to to determine if admission to such nursing home is in the best interest of the applicant as well as other patients residing in such nursing home.
