§1131.2. Immunity from civil damages
No parish, specialty, component, or state medical society or organization, or its designee, which is statutorily mandated by this Chapter to participate without compensation or gratuitously participates in an emergency services system, nor any committee of such parish, specialty, component, or state medical society or organization, including the individual members of such committee, or its designee, shall be liable for any civil damages as a result of any act or omission in the performance of their administrative duties or donated services with such emergency services system, including, without limitation, advice, instructions, or other duties regarding policy, protocol, administration, and efficiency of the emergency medical services system.
The immunity extended to a parish, specialty, component, or state medical society or organization, or any committee thereof, including the individual members of such committee, including their insurers, or its designee, shall not be applicable for willful or wanton acts or omissions. The immunity extended herein shall be applicable only to an action brought by the person damaged as a result of the performance of any administrative duties or donated services rendered pursuant to the provisions of this Section.
