§2166.2. Purpose
The purpose of this Part is to authorize the Louisiana Department of Health to promulgate and publish rules and regulations to provide for the health, safety, and welfare of adults receiving residential care and to provide for the safe operation of facilities providing such care. It is the intent of the legislature to support the rights of individuals to live in a residential setting which ensures freedom of choice, independence, and an opportunity to continue to live as integral members of the community, aging with dignity, privacy, and respect.
