§551. Subdivisions; power to incur debt and issue bonds
Municipal corporations, parishes, school districts, including the Orleans Parish School Board, road, subroad, sewerage, waterworks and subwaterworks, gravity drainage and subdrainage districts except in the city of New Orleans and parish of Orleans, irrigation districts, hospital service districts, fire protection districts, and gas utility districts may incur debt and issue negotiable bonds in the form and manner and subject to the limitations and restrictions contained in Part III of this Chapter and Chapter 6-A of Title 18 1 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950.
