RS 39:1105
§1105. Resolution and notice of intention
No bonds shall be issued hereunder until the notice hereafter provided has been given. The notice shall be ordered by resolution, which shall state the purpose for which the bonds are to be issued, the amount of the bond issue proposed and the rate of interest. The notice shall embrace, substantially, all matters required to be set forth in the resolution ordering the giving of the notice, and it shall set forth further that the authority ordering the giving of the notice will, in open session, at the hour and place named, proceed to issue the bonds.
The notice shall be published in a newspaper published in the political subdivision, or if there is no newspaper published therein, in a newspaper published in the parish; or if there is no newspaper published in the parish, then by publication in a newspaper published in an adjoining parish and by posting in three public places in the political subdivision ordering the giving of the notice. The three publications in a newspaper once a week shall constitute a publication of fifteen days, provided fifteen days intervene between the date of the first publication and the date of the issuance of the bonds.
