§337. Validation of previous sales, leases or other dispositions; Orleans Levee District
The sales, lease, or other disposition by the board of lands reclaimed or filled in or otherwise acquired by the board under the provisions of R.S. 38:307, R.S. 38:335, and R.S. 38:336 and under the provisions of Section 7 of Article XVI of the 1921 Constitution of Louisiana, and the sale and lease of land, and/or any improvements thereon, which is included within the area of any marina under the jurisdiction of the board or the land bordering the New Basin Canal acquired by the board from the Louisiana Department of Public Works by an act of sale dated December 18, 1964, heretofore made by the board are expressly exempted from the provisions of R.S. 41:131 through 41:139, R.S. 41:1211 through 41:1222, and R.S. 41:1261 through 41:1269, or any other provision of law contrary to or inconsistent with the terms, conditions, and methods heretofore provided and used by the board in such prior transactions by the board in the sale, lease, or other disposition of such lands.
All such sales, leases, or other dispositions made by the board prior to the effective date of this Section are hereby ratified, validated, and confirmed and shall be deemed to bind the board and the other parties thereto according to the respective terms and conditions of the sales, leases, or other dispositions.
