§3012. Renewal of license
A. A license issued under this Chapter shall be subject to annual renewal and shall expire unless renewed in the manner prescribed by the policies of the board.
B.(1) The board shall establish criteria on continuing education requirements for the retention or renewal of licenses in accordance with the Administrative Procedure Act; except that the report shall be submitted to the Senate and House of Representatives health and welfare committees for review purposes notwithstanding the provisions of R.S. 49:966(B). The board shall notify and consult with the association prior to the issuance or promulgation of such rules and regulations.
(2)The licensee shall provide proof of continuing education to the board as provided in the criteria established pursuant to Paragraph
(1)of this Subsection.
(3)The continuing requirements shall not apply to individuals working as occupational therapists in state facilities or employed by a state agency.
C. Late renewal may be obtained in accordance with the established policies of the board.
D. Renewal of a license which expired while the license was under suspension can occur only after the completion of the suspension.
