§88. Accounting and review services for governmental entities
Notwithstanding any provision of Chapter 15 of Title 42 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 to the contrary, a licensee may be engaged to conduct an audit or review of the books and accounts of a governmental entity for which such licensee also performs, or has performed, other accounting, advisory, or other services, provided that the performance of such other services does not or has not impaired the independence of the licensee with respect to the governmental entity and such other services are or have been performed in conformity with the ethical rules and interpretations governing the independence of a licensee, as prescribed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
