§3265. Domicile of the commission; officers and employees; per diem and travel allowance
The domicile of the commission shall be in the city of Natchitoches, Parish of Natchitoches, Louisiana. As soon as practicable after their appointment, the members of the commission shall meet at its domicile and elect from the membership at least one vice chairman, a secretary and a treasurer, which latter two offices may be combined. The commission may establish and provide for such other officers, agents and employees as it may deem necessary and appropriate for the accomplishment of its object and purpose, and define the duties, terms and compensation thereof.
Immediately upon the organization of the commission and the election of officers, the secretary of the commission shall certify to the secretary of state the names and addresses of such officers. Each member of the commission shall be entitled to receive a stated per diem and travel allowance in such amount and in a maximum annual amount as determined by the commission in a schedule and approved by the governor, when attending upon the business of the commission.
