RS 33:4720.69
§4720.69. Severability
The provisions of this Chapter are hereby declared to be severable, and if any Section, Subsection, Paragraph, provision, exception, sentence, clause, phrase, or part of this Chapter is held unconstitutional or void, the remainder of this Chapter shall continue in full force and effect, it being the legislative intent, now hereby declared, that this Chapter would have been enacted even if such unconstitutional or void matter had not been included therein. Notwithstanding any other evidence of legislative intent, it is hereby further declared to be the controlling legislative intent that, if any provisions or part of this Chapter, or the application thereof to any person or circumstances, is held invalid, the remainder of this Chapter, and the application of such provision or part to persons or circumstances other than those as to which it is held invalid, shall not be affected thereby.
Insofar as the provisions of this Chapter are inconsistent with the provisions of any other law, the provisions of this Chapter shall be controlling.
