§130.382. Board of commissioners; members
The district shall be governed by the board of directors of the Northeast Economic Development Foundation, hereinafter referred to as the "board of commissioners". The members of the board shall be appointed as follows: one member shall be appointed by the governing authority of each parish within the district; one member shall be appointed by the leadership of the Louisiana Association of Business and Industry; one member shall be appointed by the leadership of the American Federation of Labor-Congress of International Organizations; and each of the members of the legislature whose legislative district is in any part within this district shall be ex officio members with full voting status.
A vacancy on the board shall be filled in the same manner as the original appointment. An appointed member shall continue to serve until a successor is appointed. Members shall be compensated and may be removed for good cause in accordance with the articles of incorporation and bylaws.
