§2133. Disposal rates at compact regional facilities; approval by secretary
Pursuant to the provisions of Article III, Section c. of the Central Interstate Low-Level Radioactive Waste Compact, the secretary is authorized to approve fair and reasonable rates to be charged any user by the operator of any Central Interstate Low-Level Radioactive Waste Compact regional facility located within Louisiana. Such approval shall be based upon criteria established by the Central Interstate Low-Level Radioactive Waste Commission. The secretary shall adopt and promulgate rules and regulations, consistent with the provisions of said Article III, Section c. of the compact, establishing procedures for approving such rates and setting criteria by which proposed rates shall be judged fair and reasonable.
No operator of such a regional facility shall charge or alter such rates without the prior approval of the secretary.
