§201. Transfer of administration
The department may continue to administer any such existing clinics, but its primary endeavor shall be to transfer responsibility for the administration of existing facilities or facilities that may hereafter be created to local associations, nonprofit corporations, police juries, school boards, municipalities, or other public agencies that have demonstrated a desire to establish, maintain, and operate facilities for persons who have a mental illness, developmental disabilities, or both conditions on a municipal, parish, or other local area basis.
