§214.1. Certain parish library boards of control; per diem and reimbursement of expenses
A.(1) The governing authority of each parish to which this Section applies may compensate members of the parish library board of control for attendance at board meetings and may reimburse members for travel to and from board meetings and for out-of-parish travel required in carrying out their duties as board members.
(2)In each parish to which this Section applies, the members of the library board of control may:
(a)Receive a per diem established by the parish governing authority in an amount not to exceed fifty dollars for each regular or special meeting attended for not more than fifteen meetings in one calendar year.
(b)Be reimbursed on a vouchered basis for expenses incurred in attending meetings or otherwise performing services for the board.
(3)The per diem and reimbursements shall be paid by the parish governing authority out of funds appropriated or otherwise made available for those purposes.
B. This Section applies to Assumption Parish and Cameron Parish.
