§1297. Subpoenas
In case of contumacy by, or refusal to obey a subpoena issued to, any person, upon application by the administrator or any duly authorized representative to a district court of the state within the jurisdiction of which the inquiry is carried on or within the jurisdiction of which the person guilty of contumacy or refusal to obey is found or resides or transacts business, that district court shall have jurisdiction to issue an order requiring that person to appear before the administrator, or any duly authorized representative, to produce evidence, or to give testimony relevant to the matter under investigation.
Failure to obey such an order of the court may be punished as a contempt of that court.
