§52.2. Lafayette Parish School Board; election of members; terms
Notwithstanding the provisions of R.S. 17:52 and any other provision of law to the contrary, members of the Lafayette Parish School Board shall be elected at the gubernatorial elections. The members of the school board shall serve four-year terms beginning January first following their election.

NOTE: See Acts 2014, No. 526, §2, which provides that the members of the Lafayette Parish School Board elected in 2014 shall serve five-year terms and that R.S. 17:52.2 shall apply to the election of members who serve terms subsequent to the terms of the members elected in 2014.
