§1109.3. Board of commissioners; officers; meetings
A. The board of commissioners shall elect a chairman, a vice chairman, and a treasurer from among its members whose duties, in addition to those provided by this Subpart, shall be established by the board. The treasurer shall furnish bond in an amount and in accordance with the terms and conditions fixed by the board. The board of commissioners may also appoint a person who may, but is not required to, be a member of the board to serve as the secretary.
B. The board shall fix a time and place for the holding of its regular meetings in at least every other calendar month. Additional regular or special meetings may be held upon the call of the chairman or of three of the commissioners. All meetings of the board may be conducted at any location approved by the board and shall be governed by the provisions of R.S. 42:11 et seq.
C. A majority of the members of the board shall constitute a quorum. A quorum shall be required to transact business, and all actions and resolutions of the board shall be approved by a majority of the quorum present.
