§102.11. Illegal contact sports; penalty
A. Any person who intentionally commits any of the following shall be guilty of illegal contact sports:
(1)Promotes, engages or participates in, judges, or referees a tough-man competition or is employed by anyone who conducts a tough-man competition.
(2)Receives money for the admission of another person to a place which holds or has held tough-man competitions.
B. For the purposes of this Section, a "tough-man contest or competition" means any boxing match, wrestling event, or contest or competition, or combination thereof, between two or more persons, whether professional or amateur, who use their hands, with or without gloves, or their feet, or both, in any manner unauthorized by the State Boxing and Wrestling Commission, and compete for money, financial prize, or any item of pecuniary or nonpecuniary value or compete at an event where a fee is charged whereby either participant may obtain pecuniary gain.
"Tough-man contest or competition" shall not include, nor shall the provisions of this Section apply to any contest, competition, or exhibition of any of the recognized martial arts including karate, judo, kung fu, tae kwan do, jujitsu, kickboxing, or any substantially similar tradition.
C. Whoever commits the crime of illegal contact sports shall be fined not more than five hundred dollars or imprisoned, with or without hard labor, for not more than one year, or both.
