§951.43. Method of collecting employee contributions
A. The Orleans Parish school board shall prepare as a part of each and every pay roll, a roll of contributions and place opposite the name of each and every participant the amount of the regular pay roll contribution payable by him. The Orleans Parish school board shall deduct and retain out of the compensation due to each participant the amount of his pay roll contribution, provided that no such deductions shall be made from those participants who have elected not to contribute after obtaining the normal service retirement age.
The sum of the pay roll contributions shall be immediately paid by the Orleans Parish school board to the board of trustees. The contributions obtained by the board of trustees shall then be credited to the annuity savings account.
B. These deductions shall be made notwithstanding that the compensation that may be provided for by law for any participant shall be reduced thereby. Every participant shall be deemed to consent and agree to the deductions made and provided for in this Section and shall receipt for his full salary or compensation; and the payment of the salary or compensation less such deductions shall be a full and complete discharge and acquittance of all claims and demands whatsoever for services rendered by such person during the period covered by such payments except as to benefits provided by this Part.
