§13-102. Definitions
(a)Chapter 13 Definitions. In this Chapter:
(1)"Adjustment date" means August 1, 2025.
(2)"Chapter 12" means Chapter 12 of this Title.
(3)"Chapter 12 property" means a controllable account, controllable electronic record, or controllable payment intangible.
(b)Definitions in other Chapters. The following definitions in other Chapters of this Title apply to this Chapter.
"Controllable account". R.S. 10:9-102.
"Controllable electronic record". R.S. 10:12-102.
"Controllable payment intangible". R.S. 10:9-102.
"Financing statement". R.S. 10:9-102.
(c)Chapter 1 definitions and principles. Chapter 1 of this Title contains general definitions and principles of construction and interpretation applicable throughout this Chapter.
(d)Definition of "Act". As used in this Chapter, "Act" means Act No. 773 of the 2024 Regular Session of the Legislature that enacted Chapters 12 and 13 of this Title and amended other provisions of law in other Chapters of this Title.
