90.330 Qualifications of applicants.

(1)The civil service commission shall examine all applicants as to their physical and
mental qualification for the particular classification wherein they seek employment.
To be eligible for examination a person shall be at least eighteen
(18)years of age,
be a law-abiding citizen of sobriety and integrity, and must be able to read and write
and understand the English language.
(2)Any city legislative body that operates under this chapter may by ordinance require
persons appointed to civil service positions to be a resident of the county in which
the city is located.
