81.410 Authority to merge -- Ordinances.

(1)Any two or more contiguous cities in the Commonwealth may merge or consolidate
into one
(1)city by a majority vote of each city at elections called for such purpose.
(2)The legislative bodies of each of the cities desiring to merge or consolidate shall
enact ordinances proposing the merger or consolidation and calling elections in the
respective cities to determine the desire of the voters.
