70.170 Salary for services under KRS 70.150.

(1)Each sheriff performing the duties required under the provisions of KRS 70.150
shall be allowed the amount of thirty-six hundred dollars ($3,600) annually payable
out of the State Treasury at the rate of three hundred dollars ($300) per month for
such services. The first such monthly payment shall be for the month of July, 1966,
and the check therefor shall be forwarded to the sheriff concerned on or about the
last working day of that month and each month thereafter.
(2)The allowance authorized in subsection
(1)of this section shall be considered as
operating expenses of the sheriff's office and shall not be considered as part of his
compensation. Sheriffs shall not be required to keep records verifying the
expenditures from the allowance provided by the state.
