437.429 Penalties.

(1)Any person who violates any provision of KRS 437.410 to 437.420 shall be subject
to a fine of not more than five thousand dollars ($5,000) or imprisoned for not less
than six
(6)months but not more than one
(1)year, or both, for each violation.
(2)Any persons convicted of violating any provision of KRS 437.410 to 437.420 shall
be ordered jointly and severally to make restitution to the animal facility in the full
amount of the reasonable cost of replacing materials, data, equipment or animals,
and records that may have been damaged or cannot be returned, and the reasonable
cost of repeating any experimentation that may have been interrupted or invalidated
as a result of the violation.
(3)Nothing in KRS 437.410 to 437.420 shall be construed to affect any other rights of
a person who has been damaged by reason of a violation of KRS 437.410 to
437.420.
