(1)The board shall promulgate administrative regulations relating to paramedics. The
administrative regulations may include the classification and licensure of
paramedics, instructor-trainers, instructors, and students and trainees; examinations;
standards of training and experience; curricula standards; administration of drugs
and controlled substances by paramedics under the direction or supervision of
licensed physicians; issuance and renewal of licenses; and such other administrative
regulations as may be necessary for the protection of public health and safety in the
delivery of emergency medical services.
(2)Relicensure programs shall be organized to include continuing education and in-
service training approved by the board.
