(1)The board may establish by contract, including with a nonprofit corporation, or
otherwise the Kentucky Physician Health Foundation to promote the early
identification, intervention, treatment, and rehabilitation of individuals licensed by
the board who may be impaired by reason of illness, alcohol or drug abuse, or as a
result of any physical or mental condition.
(2)The board may promulgate administrative regulations under the provisions of KRS
Chapter 13A to implement any program formed under this section and may expend
any funds necessary to provide for operational expenses of a program formed under
this section.
