If it appears that contiguous territory within an established district would be better served by the organization of a separate district, a petition for withdrawal and formation of a new district may be filed with the board of supervisors by twenty-five
(25)or more landowners, or a majority if less than fifty
(50)landowners are involved. The petition shall define the boundary involved, state that all obligations to the district have been met, and contain such other information as is necessary for a determination of the feasibility or nonfeasibility of such withdrawal and reorganization. Filing of petition and further proceedings shall be governed by KRS 262.715 to 262.735, as far as practicable.
