(1)The chair of the Department of Entomology of the agricultural experiment station at
the University of Kentucky shall be the state entomologist.
(2)The state entomologist shall serve without pay other than his salary as an officer of
the agricultural experiment station at the University of Kentucky. He shall be paid
his traveling expenses.
(3)The state entomologist shall appoint a deputy entomologist who shall have, as a
minimum, a master of science degree in entomology, and nursery inspectors who
shall have a B.S. or A.B. degree in plant sciences.
