227.470 Cooperative agreements between local governments.

(1)Any action authorized by the provisions of KRS 227.450 to 227.500 to be
accomplished by a city or county may be undertaken cooperatively by two
(2)or
more local governments upon a resolution by the governing body of each local
government to do so. Such cooperative agreements shall conform to the provisions
of KRS Chapter 65.
(2)If the governing body of two
(2)or more counties authorizes a cooperative
agreement, the individual cities within those counties do not have to execute the
cooperative agreement and are deemed to be a party to the cooperative agreement
for all purposes unless, within sixty
(60)days after the adoption of the legislation
authorizing the cooperative agreement by the county fiscal court in which that city
is located, a resolution is passed by a city expressing its intent not to enter into a
cooperative agreement.
