224A.302 Establishment of water management areas by area development districts.

Within twelve
(12)months of July 14, 2000, each area development district shall establish water management areas. The entire area within the area development district shall be included in one
(1)or more water management areas. The area development district may determine the boundaries of water management areas by considering geographical or topographical conditions and the potential integration of existing water systems. Where water management areas may lie within more than one
(1)area development district, the area development districts shall share planning and plan implementation responsibilities. The area development districts shall develop maps of uniform scale to show, accurately and clearly, the boundaries of each water management area.
