202B.990 Penalties.

(1)The unwarranted admission of any person under the provisions of this chapter; or
(2)The denial of any person of any of the rights accorded to him under the provisions
of this chapter shall be punished by a fine not exceeding five thousand dollars
($5,000) or imprisonment for a term not to exceed five
(5)years or both.
(3)Any person who violates the confidentiality of any mental health record under the
provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a Class A misdemeanor.
