(1)The General Assembly recognizes its responsibility to secure the environment for
all Kentucky students. Thus, October of each year shall be designated as Anti-
Bullying Month in the Commonwealth.
(2)As a symbol of awareness of the serious issues and negative effects of bullying, the
official ribbon for the Anti-Bullying Month in the Commonwealth shall be purple
and yellow. The color purple is a reminder of domestic violence and the color
yellow is in memory of those who have taken their lives as a result of bullying.
