176.010 Definitions for chapter.

As used in this chapter, unless the context requires otherwise:
(1)"Biennial highway construction plan" means the specifically identified individual
transportation projects or portions thereof identified for funding during the
upcoming biennium, which correspond to the first two

road plan;
(2)"Department" means Department of Highways;
(3)"Cabinet" means the Transportation Cabinet;
(4)"Lowest and best bidder" includes the reciprocal resident bidder preference
described in KRS 176.082;
(5)"Project" means the design, right-of-way, utility, or construction phase of a highway
construction project;
(6)"Roads" includes highways, bridges, and bridge approaches; and
(7)"Six
(6)year road plan" means the plan developed under KRS 176.430.
