17.180 Automated fingerprint identification system.

(1)The Department of Kentucky State Police shall design, implement, and maintain an
automated fingerprint identification system.
(2)The automated fingerprint identification system shall be compatible with any
similar system required by the federal government for inclusion of state information
in federal criminal justice databases.
(3)The Commonwealth shall provide and maintain in every detention center the
automated fingerprint identification system equipment and programs required by the
Department of Kentucky State Police through administrative regulation.
