(1)There may be established a Kentucky School for the Blind Advisory Board
composed of five
(5)members appointed by the Kentucky Board of Education upon
recommendation by the chief state school officer for terms of four
(4)years and
until their successors are appointed. The board shall elect from its membership a
chairman. Members of the board shall serve without compensation but shall be
reimbursed for necessary expenses incurred in performance of their duties.
(2)The board shall act in an advisory capacity to assist the superintendent in
conducting the activities of the school.
