164.927 Increase of residency positions in primary care disciplines.

The University of Kentucky and the University of Louisville, and their affiliated programs are hereby authorized to increase the number of residency positions for medical school graduates in primary care disciplines from the fiscal 1976 level by a total of seventy-six
(76)additional positions during the 1977-78 biennium. These new positions shall be established in the following manner:
(1)For the fiscal year 1977 there shall be established twenty-eight
(28)new positions;
for fiscal year 1978 there shall be forty-eight
(48)new positions.
(2)To provide adequate faculty supervision for these new residency positions, one
faculty position (1 FTE) is hereby authorized for each additional four

residency positions established under the provisions of KRS 164.925 to 164.933.
(3)The number of the residency positions to be established at the University of
Kentucky and at the University of Louisville shall be determined by the Council on
Postsecondary Education, using the policies and procedures for determining the
allocation of these new residency positions as provided in KRS 164.929.
