161.590 Service credit at retirement.

(1)At retirement the total service credited to a teacher shall consist of prior and
subsequent service rendered by him or her for which service credit has been
allowed.
(2)Kentucky service, presented at the time of retirement, may not be used in
calculating benefits under KRS 161.525, 161.620, or 161.661, if such service has
been used to increase benefits in another retirement system, not including Old Age
and Survivors Insurance Benefits under the Social Security Administration.
(3)No service credit shall be added to a member's account after the effective date of
retirement for service.
