(1)The Education and Labor Cabinet is hereby directed to establish, within one
hundred eighty
(180)days of July 14, 2022, a job placement assistance program to
assist individuals enrolled in the state's medical assistance program established in
KRS Chapter 205 in finding employment.
(2)The job placement assistance program shall:
(a)Be available to any able-bodied adult enrolled in the state's medical assistance
program;
(b)Provide one-on-one job placement coaching and support; and
(c)Prioritize job placement with an employer who offers comprehensive health
insurance coverage for medical and surgical services as an employee benefit.
(3)The Education and Labor Cabinet shall contact each individual who, pursuant to
subsection (2)(a) of this section, is eligible to participate in the job placement
assistance program and provide him or her with information on the program and
services provided.
(4)As used in this section "able-bodied adult" means an individual who is:
(a)Over eighteen
(18)years of age but under sixty
(60)years of age; and
(b)Physically and mentally able to work as determined by the cabinet.
