148.011 Department of Parks created -- Commissioner -- Appointment -- Divisions.

(1)There shall be established in the state government a Department of Parks, a
statutory administrative department within the meaning of KRS Chapter 12, the
executive head of which shall be the commissioner of parks.
(2)The commissioner of parks shall be appointed by the Governor as provided in KRS
12.040 for the heads of statutory administrative departments and shall receive an
annual salary not to exceed the amount provided in KRS 64.640(2) relating to
compensation for the heads of other statutory administrative departments.
(3)The commissioner of parks may establish divisions in accordance with the terms of
KRS 12.050.
(4)The heads of the divisions in the Department of Parks shall be appointed by the
commissioner of parks in accordance with the provisions of KRS 12.050.
