(1)If return is made on an execution against a sheriff or other public defaulter to the
state and his sureties that there was no sale of personal property for the want of
bidders, the Department of Revenue may direct the property levied upon to be
removed from county to county for sale, as often as may be necessary, the cost of
removal to be paid out of the sale of the estate as other costs. The officer who levied
the execution may sell the property in any county to which it is so removed. If real
property is levied upon, the place of sale may be changed to another county, and the
officer may there sell and convey the property as in the county where the levy was
made.
(2)The state may have executions in the hands of collecting officers in any number of
counties at the same time.
