83.590 Mayor's reorganization powers -- Appointment of advisory committees --

Compensation.
(1)The mayor may establish, abolish, or alter the organization of any agency or
administrative department under his control, including changing the name of a
department to explain more clearly the function performed by it by recommending
to the board of aldermen an ordinance stating the changes made and designating the
functions, personnel, funds, equipment, facilities and records, as applicable, to be
transferred.
(2)The mayor may appoint advisory or study committees to assist and advise him on
problems concerning the various functions and departments of city government.
Members of such committees shall serve without pay, but may be reimbursed for
necessary and actual expenses.
