prosecutorial system to executive branch. Any other statute to the contrary notwithstanding, the Executive Department of government shall accept from the unified prosecutorial system all accrued annual and sick leave balances and service credits of employees leaving the unified prosecutorial system and accepting appointments to the Executive Department. These leave balances shall be attested to by the former employer of the employee and shall not exceed those limits established by statute or administrative regulation for employees of the Executive Department.
This provision shall apply to Executive Department employees who were contributing to the Kentucky Employees Retirement System or the State Police Retirement System on or after July 1, 2000.
