members of a legislator's family -- Exception -- Penalty.
(1)A member of a legislator's family shall not be employed or appointed to an office or
position in the legislative branch of state government.
(2)A legislator shall not advocate or cause the employment, appointment, promotion,
transfer, or advancement of a member of the legislator's family to an office or
position in the executive branch of state government.
(3)A legislator shall not participate in any action relating to the disciplining of a
member of the legislator's family in the legislative or executive branch of state
government.
(4)Subsection
(1)of this section does not apply to a member of a legislator's family
who is employed or appointed to an office or position in the legislative branch of
state government prior to the legislator's election to the General Assembly or prior
to February 18, 1993.
(5)Violation of this section is ethical misconduct.
