425.096 Service of writ and bond by levying officer -- Attachment of property

(1)At the time of the levy, the levying officer shall deliver to the person in possession
of the property a copy of the writ of possession with a copy of the plaintiff's bond
attached.
(2)If no one is in possession of the property at the time of levy, the levying officer shall
subsequently serve the writ and attached bond on the defendant or if he cannot be
found the levying officer shall leave the writ and attached bond at the usual place of
abode of the person in possession of the property.
(3)If after a writ of possession has been placed in the hands of the sheriff, any property
of the defendant be removed from the county the sheriff may pursue and attach it in
another county within twenty-four
(24)hours after the removal.
