conservator. The court shall give preference to people who meet the following qualifications when appointing a person as guardian or conservator:

(1)Kinship to respondent;

(2)Education and business experience of applicant;

(3)Capability to handle financial affairs; and

(4)Ability to carry out the requirements set forth in KRS 387.660 to 387.710 and

387.750.
