278.019 Deadlines for commission to issue final orders -- Failure to meet deadline

(1)Except as otherwise provided in KRS 278.010 to KRS 278.450, if the commission
fails to issue a final order on any application submitted to it by a utility pursuant to
KRS 278.018, 278.020, 278.216, 278.218, 278.271, and 278.300 within eight
months of the acceptance of the filing of the application, then the application shall
be deemed approved by the commission and the relief requested shall be deemed to
be granted.
(2)The commission shall complete and issue a final order on all eight
