(1)In each tobacco warehouse, redryer, prize room, or company, all pieces of each type
of equipment used for transporting baskets of tobacco during a weighing operation
in which the quantity value of the tobacco in the basket is determined shall be of
uniform weight. In any case where the equipment being used for that purpose is not
the property of the warehouse, redryer, prize room, or company in which the
weighing operation is taking place, the weighman shall use the same tare as that set
by the Division of Regulation and Inspection. In every weighing operation involving
the same basket, the basket tare shall be the same as that originally determined by
the Division of Regulation and Inspection.
(2)Every tobacco warehouse, redryer, prize room, or company weighing tobacco for
commercial purposes shall post a copy of this law in a conspicuous place in the
scale office.
