(1)The county clerk shall be entitled to the same fee for the performance of the duties
required in the issuance of certificates of title and registration for motorboats as is
applicable to the issuance of certificates of title and registration of motor vehicles as
provided by KRS 186.040(1), 186.180, 186A.130, and 186A.245.
(2)The Transportation Cabinet shall be entitled to the same fee for the performance of
duties required in the issuance of certificates of title or duplicate titles for
motorboats as is applicable to the issuance of certificates of title of motor vehicles
as provided in KRS 186A.130 and 186A.245. The Transportation Cabinet shall
receive a two dollar ($2) fee when a motorboat owner is issued a replacement
license decal for the operation of a motorboat. The fees shall be deposited in a trust
and agency account for use by the Transportation Cabinet in defraying the cost of
implementing, administering, and operating the boat titling and registration
program.
