216.304 Actions of licensed health care professional that are not violative of KRS

216.302.
(1)A licensed health care professional who administers, prescribes, or dispenses
medications or procedures to relieve another person's pain or discomfort, even if the
medication or procedure may hasten or increase the risk of death, shall not be
deemed to have violated KRS 216.302 unless the medications or procedures are
knowingly and intentionally administered, prescribed, or dispensed to cause death.
(2)A licensed health care professional who withholds or withdraws a life-sustaining
procedure in compliance with KRS 311.622 to 311.644 or KRS 311.970 to 311.976
shall not be deemed to have violated KRS 216.302.
